Hope you all having a fantastic Festive period? Busy practising for the Hangover part of HHH?
We are hosting our annual Hogmanay Hangover Handicap event on Saturday 2nd January. This is to be held at Hazlehead Park. Parking at the overflow car park just beyond the Golf Clubhouse. (What Three Words – home.lawn.edit ) Unfortunately due to being placed in Tier 3/4 only residents of Aberdeen City may attend this event.
There are two courses on offer. A long course at 4.2km & a short course at 2.3km. The courses mainly go through the Park and the open ground beside the Graveyard at the north of the area. Very nice underfoot conditions. No yuckiness to go through! (Bar potential mud depending on weather) Very little concrete running which bodes well if it happens to be icy conditions!
The event is being run similar to the format that was done this year at the Autumn Urban series. i.e. using the MapRun app for those who are competitive. But we will have printed maps of the courses available to use. If you do not wish to use the MapRun facility/or indeed not have a Smartphone, please come along anyway, and take the map and enjoy going round.
The event is from 1030-1200hrs on the 2nd January 2021.
Cost is £5/2.50 for Seniors/Juniors&Students
Closing date for entry is by end of 31st December 2020.
Payment will be taken on the day by contactless payment via iZettle. (No Cash)
Map Scale – 1:4000
