A fly past by a red kite kicked things off well first thing Sunday morning while the team were setting up the Start and for most folk the day continued well too (unless they were unfortunate enough to try head butting a tree.) Great to see so many new faces eager to try a second course and a few of our old O friends popping up too.
Just a wee reminder to start looking for ticks after forest runs. The mild winter means that there are already some out and about – I got one during the Paisley “urban” race a few weekends ago and only spent about two minutes in a patch of woodland. America has discovered a new strain of Lyme disease BTW, not over here yet as far as is known.
