Autumn Urban Sprint Series, Events/Results

Aberdeen Uni Urban Sprint 27/9/17 Results

Results   Splits

A great lesson in reading your control descriptions carefully tonight (Team JFF had photographic evidence of number 5 skulking on the wrong side of the fence to where they were) and if that didn’t catch you out then the straight line belt from 11 to 13 missing out 12 did. Thanks to David for a fitting finale to this year’s series.

Congrats to the following folk who either retained or gained a new trophy:
JU16   Sam Griffin (GRAMP) & Rachel Salway (MAROC)
J          Lachlan Kirk (GRAMP) & Josie Gomersall (GRAMP)
Open  Janne Heikkinen (AUOC) & Claire Tunaley (MAROC)
V         William Nicolson (INVOC) & Carolyn McLeod (GRAMP)
SV       Gary Longhurst (FVO) & Lesley Gomersall (GRAMP)
UV      George Esson (GRAMP)
Newcomers  Petra Hampton & Dominykas Kardokas

Final rankings after 5 events (best 3 scores to date) and by Category

Trophies will be presented at the GRAMP AGM or passed to non-Gramps some other way – Newcomer winners please email webmaster@grampoc.com to claim yours (or see you at another event soon?)

  • The Big Weekend 2018
This is the 10th anniversary of the Edinburgh University Orienteering Club's Big Weekend, although this year "Huge Weekend" might be a better name. There are 4 events, over 750 runners and nearly 2000 runs. Final details are on the EUOC website.
  • Mystery - can you help?
After persistent enquiries - my thanks to everyone who helped - I've located nearly all the missing SOA trophies. Two are proving elusive: the Scottish Championships W70 quaich (pictured) and the Scottish Night Championships W21 trophy (also a quaich - no photo available).
  • Junior Selection Opportunities 2018
