Thanks to Ros in conjunction with Scottish Orienteering Association, Aberdeen City Health Improvement Fund and Aberdeen City Rangers sponsorship we have been able to install posts and markers for 3 brand new Permanent Orienteering Courses at Hazlehead Park: a Short ~1.2km linear course, a Long ~3.2km linear course and a Score course where you have to find as many controls as you can in either 45 or 60 minutes, you choose.
All courses start and finish close to the entrance to Pets Corner. You can park in either the old tram terminus carpark w3w delay.remove.pans or in the car park closest to the cafe w3w trio.year.beard.
Check our POC page for links to pdf’s of the maps complete with instructions and lists of controls, print them out, take a pen to write down the letter codes found on each control marker, invite a friend if you like and then go have some fun hunting out those red and white markers in corners of the park you may never have visited before.
Good luck!
